CBHC’s Thomas Perry will be taking part in the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Tom has been training hard for the 26.2 mile challenge around London but is also planning on making 2019 a unique double-challenge year as he will also be taking part in the Prudential RideLondon this summer.
2019 will be a landmark year for the London Marathon as they announced a world-beating landmark in the history of the world’s greatest marathon as fundraising from the event reaches £1 billion.
Here is what Tom had to say:
”Over the last few years I have completed numerous challenges, raising over £3,000 for charities that are close to my heart in the process.
In 2019 I’ve decided to take it up a notch by taking on The London Marathon and Ride London in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Why Cancer Research? Well because frankly Cancer is evil and takes away from us those who we love most far too often.
Personally I’ve lost both my Nan and Grandad to Cancer, who had a massive part to play in my life. My Nan was one of the kindest people. Her love for people was as clear as anything and that love is now shared throughout our family and my Grandad, was honestly my shining light growing up.
Words truly can’t describe how much I miss these two and they will be in my thoughts through every step and pedal of this journey!!
So please get behind me and donate whatever you can, or just leave me message of encouragement on my Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/toms-london-double.
Let’s try and help less families being affected by Cancer!!
Thank you!!
